This deal validates strategy of incorporating value-added wireless monitoring and automation hardware, in combination with solar power generating projects for agricultural lands. Deliveries and projects to be installed beginning Fall 2016 and 2017.
MONTREAL, October 28th 2016 – Motorleaf of Sutton and Montreal, Quebec, and Renewz Sustainable Solutions Inc, of Montreal, Quebec, announced today that they have entered into a joint venture that is estimated to be worth approximately USD $1.5 million over the next eighteen months.
“With the surge of interest in motorleaf after our completion of the FounderFuel accelerator program in Montreal and subsequent level of participation in our current fundraising round, we are well positioned to capitalize on the opportunity to add our technology to the renewz solar farm projects. Having "motorleaf inside" an amazing system like renewz is developing under its "iSun" brand is exactly in line with our strategic road map; to deploy a smart system that connects with virtually any grow equipment and add value through our data capture. We love the fact people refer to us as the Google NEST meets Lego of indoor Ag – our scalable solution is something we aim to deploy around the world in the upcoming few years!” said motorleaf CEO, Ally Monk.
“With funds from the initial tranche of C3E’s investment in Renewz, this joint venture is part of our next stage deployment of innovative solar power structures and intelligent energy monitoring and control systems, through licensed and internally developed technologies. We’re thrilled to have the motorleaf team as part of our future expansion plans in the creation of smart solar farms where we can provide information and control on both energy and environmental metrics” said Sass M. Peress, CEO of renewz.
